Who we are

MV4U Ltd ("MV4U", "we") is a wheelchair accessible vehicle sales and hire company based at Station Yard, Cross Street, Herne Bay, Kent CT6 8NN. We are the data controller for personal information collected through this website, by phone and by email. Contact: sales@mv4u.co.uk or 01227 678119.

What we collect and why

When you enquire or hire, we may collect:

• Contact details — name, phone, email, address — to respond to enquiries and manage your hire (legal basis: contract).
• Hire details — dates, postcode, vehicle needs and, where you volunteer it, information about mobility requirements or wheelchair dimensions — to match you to a suitable vehicle. Health-related detail is used only with your consent and only for this purpose.
• Driving information — licence details and eligibility declarations required to lawfully hire a vehicle (legal basis: contract and legal obligation).
• Payment information — processed securely by our payment providers; we do not store full card numbers.
• Marketing preferences — only if you opt in; you can withdraw at any time (legal basis: consent).

How long we keep it

Enquiry records are kept for up to 2 years; hire and financial records for 6 years to meet legal and accounting obligations; marketing consents until you withdraw them.

Who we share it with

Only what's needed, with providers who help us operate: payment processors, insurers, breakdown providers, our email and website hosts, and — where legally required — authorities such as the DVLA or police. We never sell your data.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask for access to, correction of, or deletion of your data; object to or restrict processing; and withdraw consent. Email sales@mv4u.co.uk and we'll respond within one month. You can also complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk.
